It's sad to say but, it is true. Tumblr has taken my thoughts, pictures, videos, music and words away from Blogger. This will be the last post on this blog until I find some flaw in Tumblr and come back to post absolutely nonsensical things up again. This is no offense to Blogger at all; It's just that with Tumblr, I could simultaneously update Twitter and Facebook. It's killing multiple birds with one stone.
So, what do you say?
No hard feelings?
Happy holidays everyone!

Before Edward Cullen, There Was Max Evans...

As I was watching the pilot of Roswell (for about the hundredth time), a strange feeling came over me; like I had seen this somewhere before. Then, it hit me...
Twilight!
I mean, Max and Liz (the original Edward and Bella I guess you could say) were lab partners, Max saved Liz from a potentially life threatening accident (although, the circumstances were obviously different in Twilight...I'll still count that one.) and there were people that advised saving Liz due to the potential exposure of his secret thereby, exposing everyone in his private circle (point made by TVSquad.com).
Now, I know this would be the point in the article where I would bash either show or movie but, truth be told, they are aimed at kind of different audiences so, I can't really say. (although, I loved Roswell and still do).
That's pretty much it...

Long Time No Post!
Here's a small blurb. I've been entrenched in new albums from a few of my favorite bands (Mayday Parade and Paramore) and I just have a few things to say to those who hold particularly negative opinions about these albums...
Mass appeal is overrated; Can't please everyone. And alienating core fan base is pretty bad. But, change happens (sometimes, changes that are inevitable for bands or it could be at the hands of bigger [record label] entities) and we must all accept it. Sometimes, the change (over time) begins to look far better.
I guess that's all I wanted to say...

Boston is awesome!
I DON'T THINK I EVER WANT TO LEAVE!
I love it here! I think it's because of the freedom I have here. It's really great to be responsible for myself because then, I know I can only blame myself for the stuff I screw up on. I know that sounds unusual coming from a college student, to like something like that but after 18 years of no responsibility, it feels nice to have some.
And, the fact that FENWAY is practically DOWN THE STREET from my dorm is THE most exciting thing ever! However, I have yet to go to a game. But, I have...what, four years left? I think I'll find time.
Boston Commons is beautiful and a great study spot. I did get distracted though, when I went because it was so pretty and it was not miserably hot like in Florida. =]
I'm not insulting my home state, I'm just saying that distance makes the heart grow fonder. Three months away should do the trick.
Pictures will be up soon so I could show the beauty that is Boston.
That's it for now!

was actually not as bad and depressing as I thought it was going to be. My roommate doesn't suck which is great! She's actually very nice and helped me out with the people on my floor. The people on my floor are really cool, too. Classes are starting on Tuesday so, I'll be updating soon hopefully.

Brianna's Movie Review: Sydney White

I know I'm a little late on the whole watching Sydney White thing being that this movie came out in 2007. But, when you have nothing to do and HBO you wasted days watching movies you would never really give the time of day. An example for me would be Definitely, Maybe which turned out to be not so bad and of course, Sydney White.
Sydney White was supposed to be a modern day spin on the classic children's tale, Snow White. And, I think they successfully did that. I mean, sure it would not have gone up for an Oscar or Golden Globe but, it did what it had set out to do. I thought it was kind of funny how all the guys in the vortex, showed signs of each original dwarf (sleepy, dopey, grumpy...). I thought the last names of a few of the characters were a little...trite for lack of a better word. Examples being, Tyler PRINCE and the antagonist's last name was WITCHburn.
Now, I'll be the first to admit I wasn't all that crazy about watching the movie when it first came out but, it's not such a bad movie to watch on a lazy day.
It also didn't hurt that Matt Long was in the movie. =]
That's it for now!

Writer's Block Sucks!
*
I remember the days where I was able to write chapters and chapters all in a matter of four or five hours. Sadly, those days are long gone. I came to realize this a few days ago, when I set to finish up a story I had started writing maybe a year ago. So, I decided to look up on wikihow (which was surprisingly helpful) how to get over writer's block...that article didn't help but I found some other articles on the website that helped me begin to develop some of the characters and some semblance of a plot. I've been working on it for two days and I think I'm actually getting somewhere! =]

No Facebook for two weeks
There was something wrong with my facebook page so, I just decided to delete my page and just start from scratch. so, I have to wait two weeks for my page to be completely and permanently deactivated. And, it's proving to be much simpler than I thought it would be. It's been four days since I decided to permanently deleted it and it hasn't been bad.
I used to have a sort of sick dependence on the very popular social networking site and its help to keep me connected to friends, nationally. But, I've gone back to my texting ways and I've come to realize that's much easier.
Of course, I have my twitter to fill the tiny social networking void. It's only been a few weeks but, I've already broken the 100 tweet mark. I know, it's so sad.
I guess I'm just addicted to social networking sites...

Week after Comic-Con...
and even though I couldn't go, I was still able to find a boat load of interviews on youtube thanks to all the fans that were there. I was able to find the True Blood panel and I'm still looking for the Chuck panel but until then, I have found a NEW PROMO for Glee!
Enjoy! =]

This is Adorable!
It's when I watch old interviews like this (thanks to boii1990) that I see how much of a change has happened. I was 11 years old when I saw the first movie (It was for my birthday) and I think sometimes, that it's so cool that I have actually grown up with a movie franchise. I know it sounds stupid, but I think a lot of people my age could say the same thing.

Here's A Gem I Found!
The Half-Blood Prince!

I was lucky enough to get tickets to the midnight screening (which was my first and most definitely not last) of the newest Harry Potter installment. I had just finished reading HBP that evening (it only took me a week to get through which is relatively fast for me) and I could not wait to go watch it with friends. When the movie started, I was so excited and the excitement I had did not dissipate at all throughout the movie. I mean, sure there were certain parts of the movie that I certainly did not read in the book but, I still enjoyed it. This installment also had a lot more funny parts involving certain kinds of potion. The ending had me tearing up. In the end, it is a movie everyone should watch it has everything.

By the way, no matter what happens, I will always be a Harry/ Hermione fan until the end.
That's pretty much it. =]

The Hot/Smart Scale
I was talking to my friend the other day and we were talking about...boys (we're teenage girls. What else would we talk about when we're bored? Well, besides North Korea and Iran.) and she came up with an interesting hypothesis/theory. A guy's intelligence is, most of the time, inversely proportional to a guy's attractiveness. Now, there may be exceptions to this but, for the most part, I have found this to be true.

Back From Orientation!
And I am finally rested enough to write about it. I have only lived in tropical weather in my entire life (save for a stint in Alaska) so, when I got there, it was amazing to be in 60 degree weather in the middle of June. It was very refreshing. What wasn't refreshing at first was all the walking I had to do.But, around the second day, I began embracing all the walking and taking in the sights. Besides, all the walking was the best workout for me.
There were so many things to see in such a short time I was there. I got to see the state house of Massachusetts, Old City Hall, Newbury Street and the highlight of my visit there, FENWAY!!!!

I had so much fun!
Can't wait to go back in the fall to start school.

Does waiting for something make it more enjoyable when it happens?

because I think that waiting for Star Trek was absolutely what made the movie more enjoyable! Besided the fact that Chris Pine, Eric Bana and zachary Quinto were all in the same movie, of course.
Now, I was not really a fan of the series. But, I was still able to enjoy the movie for what it was...a kickass science fiction movie. There were funny parts and kind of mushy parts and the effects were absolutely amazing!
I will definitely be looking forward to buying this when it comes out on DVD!

I Miss Spring Awakening
I was watching the opening medley of this year's Tony Awards on Youtube, which I thought was really amazing (especially the ending).
Once I got over the intial joy I had from watching it, I was overcome with a sense of gloom when I remembered all the shows that would not be performing and/or claiming an critical attention. Among those shows are RENT and Spring Awakening. Of course, they would be touring but, no original cast. =[
Even though, I'm sure the touring casts of each show are amazing, they just can't be the original cast. I thinks it's just the fact that people (me) are so used to seeing the same person being the same character, that you just can't imagine anyone else in the role.
Take for example, Spring Awakening. Can you really compare this,
To this?
They were both good performances but, not the same.
I guess it's years of watching Television. I expect the same actors season after season.
That's it!

I'm Glad I Never Watched This!
Yesterday, as I was watching and completely falling in love with GLEE, I was thinking "where have I seen these people before?" So, once I finished up with the pilot episode, which was ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIC, I set out and searched all over my favorite research website IMDB. I knew some of them because of their appearances in Spring Awakening, a Broadway show cut WAY before its time. But, then I saw that one of the actors showed up on a show called Kaya.

I knew about Kaya because it was around when I was still watching MTV religiously. But, I didn't really take the time to sit down and watch it. So, yesterday I decided to watch it and well, it was almost identical to Instant Star. I mean, the effort was there. But, too much plot in too little time was its downfall and being too much like the stuff out there at the time. Don't even get me started on the main character, Kaya. She was just a mess!

Well, ran out of stuff to say!
*jazz hands*

Hello!
This is my first post as an official high school graduate!
It still hasn't hit me yet, though. I suppose the minute I step onto the vast campus that will be my home for the next four years is when I will realize that high school is actually over. There will never be another high school experience for me. As I am writing this, the idea of no going back is deathly frightening. We are adults now in the real world.
Well, enough of freaking myself out. Let's move on to a lighter subject.

I just watched the cutest movie that made me cry SO much towards the end. The movie's called "Elvis & Annabelle". It was on lifetime and it was beautifully written.
Here is the "Love" trailer
And, here is the "Death" trailer
I also just finished watching a phenomenal episode of In Plain Sight. I thought it brought out the more emotional side to Marshall (One of my favorite characters on the show) and gave his character more depth.
Well, that's all!

In light of yesterday's MTV Movie Awards...
Bruno V. Eminem (LMAO)

I have decided to devote this post to my opinions on the award show and the unbelievable gem I found online today (since I'm still reeling from yesterday's show). First, I have to talk about howcute hot Chris Pine looked at the Movie awards yesterday.(Should have warned before that this is my fangirl rant about the show)

loved him since Princess Diaries 2! =]
Anyways, as the award show went on, there were plenty of other guests and winners that outraged me, made me laugh hysterically and/or made me swoon.
For example, Shia Labeouf presenting best fight. Which, eventually went to Twilight, the first award of five for the movie of the night. It beat out THE DARK KNIGHT! I do not know how that could have happened. This is where the mixture of swooning and outrage and hysterical laughter began to come in.

Jonah Hill was another highlight of the evening when he presented Breakthrough Male Performance. Of course, the winner was *chagrin* Robert Pattinson for Twilight. Jonah Hill went all crazy fangirl and I laughed hysterically.

Then came Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock presenting Best Kiss. Now, every year, I always miss when they present this category which have hailed some of my favorite movie couples like Noah & Allie from The Notebook and many more. Before I say who won, I have to say that I love Ryan Reynolds... =]

The winner was Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson...It's enough to say that watching that almost kiss was about as awkward as watching the scene in the movie. I was talking to my friend when I was watching this and she said the funniest thing. She was like "oh come on now! we know that they're jumping each other's bones." I had to laugh.

I finally got to sit down and watch the finale of House
And it was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!
I kinda knew what was going to happen because my sister and friends spoiled it for me, but, man! the ending was gasp worthy. I mean, the entire time seeing House go through that whole mission with Cuddy only to find out that it WAS ALL A HALLUCINATION! That was really tough to watch. I could not help but cringe.
The entire time he thought he was holding Cuddy's lipstick, it was actually his drugs! I actually have no words for it all. The ending was so unlike House, that it felt like I was watching House. But, I guess that's made it a House episode; always surprising viewers.
That's it for now. I know it's late but,

My Input in the American Idol Finale
Okay, so I haven't exactly kept up with American Idol this past season. But, from what I have seen on the news (because this is apparently news worthy to a certain news station where I live) I would have thought Adam Lambert was going to win. Everyone had been talking about him nonstop. I guess there were just more people voting for Kris than Adam.
So, in an effort to educate myself on the final 2, I looked them up on youtube (of course). I saw Kris Allen's performance of "Heartless". I thought it was a very well done cover of the song. To me, it seemed very similar to The Fray's cover of the song. He seemed like a more mellow soft rock kind of guy. He would fit very nicely with my mellow playlist on my iTunes.
For Adam Lambert, I looked up his performance of "Mad World". Wow! His performance was very eerie and reminded of kind of Soundgarden's feel to their music. He definitely has the chops to make it among big names of rock. That song would fit nicely with my songs to relax to (with the likes of Nirvana, John Mayer and countless others. Very good company).

I also heard David Cook performed his moving ballad "Permanent". I am very sad to say I missed the performance and am currently looking for a quality video of his performance. I love this song but, it always makes me cry because of the context behind the song. It was said about his brother, Adam, who unfortunately passed away May 2nd. It is a truly touching song. His album in general, is a series of addicting, powerful songs.

I could talk about David Cook's awesomeness (the word is necessary) all day. But, the next thing I have to say.
NOW HERE IS A COMMENT TO ALL ADAM FANS.....
IF YOU HAD ALL BEEN VOTING FOR ADAM WHEN IT COUNTED AND HADN'T GOTTEN COCKY, THINKING HE COULD WIN WITHOUT YOUR VOTE, THEN MAYBE, just maybe, HE WOULD'VE WON.
That's the end of that. Now, we can move onto the chronicling of the success I KNOW both Adam and Kris will find in different ways (a la David and David last year). I definitely look forward to buying both of their debut albums.

BONES' SEASON FINALE TONIGHT....
was...interesting. It was very odd watching it because, of course, being the (un)lucky person that I am I got held up doing something else and couldn't watch it from the beginning. I probably started about 10 minutes in. But, THANK GOODNESS for DVR. =]
I enjoyed it for the most part, once I understood what the hell was going on. But, just as it was coming towards the end and Booth and Bones were in the hospital, (again, the (un) luckiness) the DVR turns to CSI. CS-freaking-I! I hate that show! So, you can imagine my horror when I don't get to hear what Booth tells Bones. This sets me off into a tiny tangent about how crappy DVR's are.
until tomorrow, when I will able to actually enjoy the episode (thanks to my DVR),
A very impatient BONES fan

My week in review...
Unfortunately, nothing really exciting has happened to me in the past week. It was just a usual first week of May.
I had my Advanced Placement exams this week and I am so glad they are over and I'll never have to take one ever again in my life! Calculus was a pain but, Government and English Lit. were kind of okay.
I am STILL WAITING (rather impatiently, might I add) to hear about the fate of one of my favorite shows, Chuck, which you might have read about from one of my earlier blogs. But, I was surfing the web today (a day off as a reward for what I believe was a good job on the exams =])and saw this list of shows "on the bubble" and any new developments were posted next to each name, thanks to very dependable spoiler source, Michael Ausiello and lo and behold, I saw this glimmering piece of text...

NBC MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE
I also saw AMAZING episodes of House and Bones. With some House/Cuddy action anticipated according to many reports and House Hallucinating as of late, I had to see if it was all in his head...I'll leave it at that. And yesterday's episode of Bones was funny when it had to be and full emotions that pulled at my heart strings. I love those shows and they keep getting better every week.
I can't wait to see the season finales of House and Bones next week. =]
Another show I'm warming up to is Southland, which has taken the spot of E.R. in the 10 o'clock spot for NBC. I'm not sure what it is about the show that I like just yet, but when I find out, I'll write about it.
I also signed up for orientation! I'm so excited! =]
I haven't really kept up with baseball this week, though, I DO know that the Florida Marlins have fallen from grace and landed in 3rd place behind Philadelphia and the Mets and that the Red Sox are holding strong in second place behind the Blue Jays, only a game behind them.
Well, that's it for now.
Until Next Time!

Random Question Time!
Ok, as I was aimlessly clicking about my myspace, I came across a new blog entry from Jason Mraz (one of my favorite artists in the entire WORLD) and he wrote about running a half marathon and the will to finish the half marathon. As I continued on reading, he was talking about what he was listening to and a question popped into my head:
I'll let that marinate...
So, we listen to artists and artists listen to other artists. But, do artists listen to their own stuff?
I'll let that marinate...

46 Eyeing 46
THESE ARE THOUGHTS I HAD WHILE WATCHING THE RED SOX GAME YESTERDAY ( I ONLY WATCHED UNTIL DREW WENT UP TO BAT IN THE 5th)
I know. The title does not exactly make sense...yet. But, give me a few minutes to explain and all will be clear. So, yesterday's Red Sox/ Yankees game proved to be yet another interesting outing for both teams. It got this way around the third or fourth inning, when Andy Pettite (#46 LHP for Yankees) was on top of Jacoby Ellsbury (#46 OF for Red Sox) and his every move. It was kinda creepy. Anyways, he basically let Dustin Pedroia slide on by. The players I felt bad for though, early on in the game yesterday was J.D. Drew and Dustin Pedroia. Drew made a few quick at bats earlier on in the game , while Pedroia tried to go for a stolen base but was picked off by a very attentive Pettite. Nick Green's fifth inning outing hurt with the Yankees lefty's changeups that psyched him out. But, he's done well since they brought him up.
*THIS THOUGHT CAME ACROSS BOTTOM OF THE FIFTH*
SWEET BABY JESUS! ELLSBURY STOLE FREAKING HOME!!!!! That was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I guess that's what he needed to see 'cause J.D. Drew's next at bat drove in 2 more runs!
MEANWHILE, the Marlins Bullpen in the last game against the Phillies was completely depleted. How do I know that, you may ask? Well, they had Cody Ross, OF, pitching. Even though, they were swept by the Phillies, I think they can still rally and make it to the World Series. I'm the superstitious kind and I think it happens to be their season every six years...It's their year, I just know it.

Random Red Sox Fan Moment
Here are parts of a conversation I had online with a friend about tonight's game against the yankees...
About the game in general.
About whether or not Johnny Damon is useless or not.
More random bouts of my bias to come! =]
About the game in general.
You should've seen it! Posada screwed it up in every way possible. It's like the yankees went retarded! I was the happiest girl in the world. And oh my god Damon ran into the wall while trying to get a ball that was headed his way. It was HILARIOUS! We went from being down 6 at the beginning of the 4th to be down by 1 thanks to Varitek. AMAZING!
About whether or not Johnny Damon is useless or not.
I know! I think he's peaked. I mean he did do some good work this game and brought the yanks back from a deficit but he's just a klutz and in the end the yankees bullpen couldn't compete with the awesome at bats the red sox had with Varitek stepping up his game and pulling through with the bases loaded. =]
